Summer Math Prep

As colleges/universities increasingly adopt "Test Optional" or "Test Blind" admissions policies, a student's GPA carries greater weight than ever before. To give students the best chance of success in high school, we recommend exploring summer Math courses that can give them the competitive "Edge" they need.

All Math Levels (Math 1+, Math 2+, Math 3+, Calculus)

Summer 2024 TBD

Summer SAT/ACT

College Counseling & Application

College Counseling & Application

While the UC's and CSU's have adopted "Test Blind" admissions, many colleges/universities have opted for "Test Optional" admissions. Students in less competitive schools submit stellar GPA's and opt out of submitting low test scores. Many in the college admissions circle suggest that students coming from highly competitive schools such as SPHS who find earning high GPA's difficult should submit high SAT/ACT scores. We strongly suggest submitting scores of over 1400 on the SAT and 32 on the ACT.

College Counseling & Application

The College Counseling & Application service is designed to help high school students navigate the often overwhelming and stressful process of applying to college.

  1. Identify schools that meet students' academic interests, extracurricular activities, and personal preferences (location, size, and campus culture).
  2. Application assistance: Prepare and submit college applications (application, essays, recommendation letters). Help students stay organized and on track with deadlines.
  3. Financial aid guidance: Find and navigate financial aid options and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other financial aid applications.
  4. Interview preparation: Some colleges may require interviews as part of the application process. College counselors can provide guidance on how to prepare for these interviews and may conduct mock interviews to help students practice.
  5. Decision making: Help make informed decisions about which college to attend based on factors such as financial aid packages, and personal preferences.
